Lisa Leslie top off 32-0 Olympic Basketball Career with her 4th straight Olympic Gold Medal. She has been the cornerstone for Team USA and she leaves in grand style. Her vertan leadership helped team USA to and 8-o record and records of her own. Shes the frist womens athlete to win four straight Gold Medals in one sport.
Australia V. US
The Opals matched Team USA shot for shot in first half but they just could not out last Team USA depth.This Opals team was deemed to challenge and win the Gold Medal, but the fire power was too much.Team USA wanted to win it for Lisa and vowed that this team was not going to labeled that Leslie lost her only Olympic game. Kara Lawson came off the bench and went 5-5 and lead the US with 15 points. The reserves for Team USA outscored the Aussies reserves 59-11.
Team USA Second Unit Foundation
Ann Donovan took her starters out late in in first when team USA tralied 13-10. The depth of the second unit came through like it always throughout these Olympic games. Kara Lawson led that surge with the first six points that capped off a 12- run by team USA at the end of quateer time the US lead 22-15.
