Well basketball junkies Big Greg Oden will be out 2-4 weeks Oden underwent an MRI and CAT scan that revealed a couple of avulsion fractures that team officials said won’t require surgery. Huge Mistake On The New York Knicks Part!!
Besides the Detroit Pistons the New York Knicks has been one of my favorite teams. It was a sad day for Patrick Ewing Jr. fans yesterday. The club (New York Knicks) cut Ewing Jr. to finalize their team roster. They kept NBA journeyman Anthony Roberson because they felt he could help them out with shooting. I have nothing against that,but all I have to say is Patrick Ewing Jr. is an all-around player and could have them in many ways. He ( Ewing Jr.) will find his niche in the NBA he has a lot to offer team that needs his skill sets.

I know you hung your JAY’s(Air Jordans) up, but your new franchise needs you man. There reports that state that you are a asbsentee exec. You have been in charge for two years and got the players you want so it’s time for some results MJ. Word is that you don’t care and for the last two years you schedule games in Superbowls Cities because everyone’s know MJ does not miss Superbowl weekend. Larry LB Brown Back To His Old Ways!!
Larry Larry word is that you want to overhaul your roster because you don’t like the players you have. Wow this is a redundant theme you have Sir. You tried to under mind one best GM’s in game Joe Dumars with the Pistons and meet your fate. The crusade continued with the Knicks and Isiah Thomas and last but not least you drag your destructive behavior into the struggling Charlotte Franchise. If MJ and Rod Higgins had any BALLS they would have drafted Brook Lopez with 9th pick the player that you guy’s needed. So you draft a midget point gaurd because you’re not happy Felton Spencer who is still a good up and coming player that can still produce. In my opinion that was a bad move GM Brown!!
Team For Sale!!
Bob Johnson made history when he became the first African-American majority owner of a sports franchise,but over the last couple years it has not been a great ride for the Franchise or Mr. Johnson. The Team owner has lost tens and millions of dollars and people around the NBA have said he was shopping the team around. Insiders feel Bob Johnson has lost touch with his team and feel that he no clue on how to run an NBA franchise. America Still Has The Best Basketball Players
Hands down the best talent is still in America, but I have noticed since the 1996 Olympics the NBA gives some unheard of guy a shot to be in the NBA. After 96 Olympics the Timberwolves sign Shane Heal he did not pan out the Sixers sign Mark Bradkte big stiff mind both players from Australia buy never showed any promise after they’re showing in the 96 Olympics.
The 7 Footer From Iran
I guess you can say NBA scouts were not allowed to go scout in Iran even though this week teams in the NBA were cleared to court this guy Hamed Ehadadi from Iran. Hamed Ehadadihe average 16.o points and 10.o rebounds in Olympic play I guess that’s enough. Yes he’s 7′2 and saying goes you can’t teach height and you can’t teach speed either and that’s something he does not have,but time will tell on this one. I’m not writing this to complain,but when the NBA signs all theses novelty players that don’t pan out I want them to remember that we have a vast talent pool right here in America because we still have the best players.
Will The Rest Of World Catch Up With America
When comes to the rest of the world and the game of basketball I still think the rest of the world still has a long way to go. Every team that was in the Olympics did not want to run with Team USA. The rest of the world is not athletic enough to keep up. I don’t this to brag or boast but it’s just true facts. You all might say well what happen over the last 8 years. Well the last eight years I can say coaching and lack of respect for the rest of talent in the world. Back in o4 LB did not play his big three James,Anthony and Wade. I can also say make shift teams of players that used it to keep in shape. I’m talking from a fan point of view on this one and that’s what I saw. I can honestly say with the showing in this past Olympic games it not be any lack luster play anymore. I don’t have this attitude that we suppose to win, but I fill when you do play in the Olympics you play for pride of Country and that’s what this group has learned and I think the future teams will follow suite.
The Core Group Say They Want Back in 2012 Olympics In London
Reports out of Team USA camp stated that some players want to be back for 2012 olympics in London. Jerry Calangelo when the time comes they will talk ,but for right now he wanted to celebrate this victory and saver the moment. The Team will be good no matter who they put together. I must say at the begining of the Olympics I was little nervous after pool play. Once they knock off Australia it was no worries mate America this in the bag. Tough Start Becomes A Blow Out
Team USA managed yet another blow out to send the Aussies home. The first half was tight for the first 19:56. Deron Williams last second three at the end of the first extend the Team USA lead from nine to ten going into second half. Defense also help them turned Australia mistakes into points with a smaller line up on the floor to disrupt the Aussies.
Second Half Shooting Turn Around!
Team USA did not shoot so well in first but came out with back to back threes from Kobe Bryant and Carmelo Anthony to extend the lead to eighteen. By the end of the third quater the US had went on a 34-18 run in the third quater.
Unmatched Defensive Effort
The focused defensive effort was no match for the Australians. They did not score the first five minutes of the third. The Australians also lost Andrew Bogut, but it did not matter anyway because he was basically a non-factor in the game with early foul trouble and could not the speed of Dwight Howard and the other bigs of the US team.
Redeem Team or Pride Team
Team USA has shown tremendous pride throughout this whole Olympic experience. They have also shown pride for the other Olympic USA athletes. This group has matured over the last three years and they are not only becoming the basketball player that we knew they will become, but they have grown as men in the process. I give Jerry Calangelo and Coach K a lot of credit to molding this team into a true team to restore the pride of American Basketball and that’s why I see no one beating them. Sunday should be a delight for American basketball fan. You might say I’m premature in my statements, but the focus this team has shown the world give evidence that they will not be stopped.
