Also that year he helped Utah win the 1947 NCAA Championship.

The bigger picture is that some NBA teams are not happy with franchise players or key role players playing in internationally during the summer. This year was good for USA basketball, but Argentina and the San Antonio Spurs are not that happy right. Ginobili got hurt in the semi-final game against the team USA.
